「What? Luka! Sussing someone for no reason like that is rude!」
Jennifer, a Korean living abroad, fervently argued that she wasn’t the mafia, using a mix of English and Korean.
[I seriously think Fumurin-chan is the mafia.]
「Eeeeeh! Argh! I’m a civilian! What are you talking about?!」
The members of Closer bickered as they diligently searched for the mafia.
Sitting in front of the monitor, I watched the scene with delight.
Ah, I knew it. Collabs were fun in their own way.
Getting Luka, who usually streamed by herself, to develop her chemistry with other members was a great move.
Big fans tend to repost content, you know.
So, Luka’s cute persona should be more widely known in other communities.
For today’s collab, they were playing Mafia.
I heard that YM suggested holding this collab to improve their relationship, as they were still a little awkward with each other. Needless to say, it was going great.
[You know, usually the one who doesn’t talk as much at times like this is the culprit.]
Fumurin giggled as she looked at Clover, seemingly trying to imply something.
[Clover unnie, you talked so much on the last round, so why are you quiet now?]
[Because I’m a civilian now. I’d do more things if I got another role.]

Since I was watching exclusively from Luka’s PoV, I was eagerly guessing the other members’ identities together with the Pink Army.

Hmm… I had the feeling Clover was the most sus out of all of them this round.
This was because Leah didn’t talk much in the first place, while Clover talked a lot when she became the police.
[Now, you may vote out one person.]
In a cheerful voice, the moderator announced that their time was up.
「It’s you isn’t it, Leah? I’m voting you out.」
「Murin for me.」
「I think it is Leah!」
「I will vote for Clover unnie!」
That left Luka as the last voter.
「I!」
If she chose Fumurin here, it would be a tie between Fumurin and Leah.
Leah shook her head, gesturing to Luka that she was not the mafia.
「Nifer unnie!」
「Holy Shit! What the! Ah, I’m sorry.」
The chat exploded with laughter.
Oh, by the way, Jennifer sounded so cool speaking English.
Her English native-accent made swear words came out so naturally that they reminded me of Luka’s fuck clip.
This made me understand why people watched her.
「Well~ Unfortunately, Leah-chan, this is your last moment in this round~ Do you have any last words?」
「All of you. You’ll regret it.」
The way she said that, in a husky tone, made her sound like a character out of a manhwa.
「Whoa. I wonder how things will turn out. Now let’s move on to the night!」
Luka-tan’s stream went black.
Only the moderator’s voice rang amidst the dark.
「Closers, unfortunately, Leah-chan is a police officer~」
「No, what?! Leah?!」
Because she was muted in game, Luka, a civilian, vented her frustration at her chat.
「If she’s the police, she should say something like, ‘I’ll protect everyone,’ but she didn’t! She didn’t say anything!」
Luka-tan, who was tryharding the game, criticized Leah, who was the same age as her.
「Ugh, I shoulda voted ‘Murin out instead of ‘Nifer unnie.」
「But, my guts said that ‘Nifer unnie is the mafia!」
The chat welcomed Luka’s illogical remark.
[Hail great detective Luka-tan!]

And so the morning came after another night.
[Sadly, another brutal murder occurred last night.]
The moderator paused to add a moment of suspense, then,
[Luka-nim! Thank you for your hard work!]
Luka’s avatar immediately collapsed.
Now that she became unable to talk in game, she hit her desk violently.
[Ah! Nooo!! Agh! You’re kidding! Seriously?!]
Luka cooly used a multitude of ways to express her disbelief.
「No way, how many times have I told you that I’m a real civilian? arghfuhfgh」
When I imagined Doah pounding her tiny hands on her desk back at her house, I let out a chuckle.
Who woulda thought that her tiny hands could make such a sound.
[Agh! This is the last game! And it ended so miserably…! Uwaaa! ]
She then joined as a spectator and watched the game as a ghost. Shockingly enough, her accusation was right, the mafia for the round was Jennifer.
「See?! I told you guys! My guts were right!」
「Ugh, fuck I’m so angry!」
「Look at how shameless ‘Nifer unnie is. Huh? She said she felt seriously wronged in English? Fucking Unbelievable.」
She ranted as if she was doing a rap, clearly upset about the way she got eliminated from the previous round even when the stream was about to end already.
「Alright, that’s it for today~」
「Next time, I’ll definitely get my revenge!」
Luka’s avatar puffed one of her cheeks.
「I hope you guys have a great weekend! See you on my solo stream on Monday~! Lubyelubye~」
When the notification that said the stream had ended appeared, I checked the time and laid down on my bed.
[22:40]
That was a short collab.
Unsatisfied that only two and a half hours had passed, I spent some time rewatching some of Luka’s recent popular clips.
Aw, she was so cute…
Like, how could a person be this cute?
Then, I ended up watching a bunch of clips, even the ones from back before she debuted in Clover.

Suddenly, the person who I had been watching texted me.
I immediately replied to her.
[No, not yet.]
[are you busy?]
Busy? Not really, just having a good ass time.
Watching her clips was the equivalent of clubbing to me, after all.
[No, I’m just watching some videos on my phone.]

[Just random ones on my fyp.]

She called out to me, but she didn’t elaborate, so I sent a ‘Hm?’ to her.

Seeing the word call made me gulp.
Because there was no real purpose for this call, we’d be just talking randomly.
My heart wanted to say yes, but my anxiety held me back.
Could I even do this?
What if I ended up doing an otaku rant midway?
Like, I didn’t even know what to talk about with her.

Seeing that I hadn’t replied even though I clearly had read her last message, Doah sent another message.
[Nono, I do.]

Regardless, there was no use crying over spilled milk.
I changed my mind and decided to call Doah instead.
If we ended up becoming a couple, we’d call each other a lot anyway.
Hell, didn’t I apply to have a phone date with Luka-tan so many times? If anything, this was perfect!
I did my hardest to calm myself down, but the nervousness just wouldn’t go away. Nevertheless, I clicked on Doah’s name and pressed the call button.

After the ringing tone played for about five seconds, I heard her voice coming through the phone.
「H-Hello?」
「Hello.」
Hearing her voice like this felt fresh.
She had a languid tone that sounded somewhere between her usual self and Luka.
「Yeah, I can hear you.」
「So, what are you doing, Oppa?」
「I told you I was watching videos. How about you?」
That answer came naturally…or not…
You fucking idiot, Doah was streaming!
Why the fuck did you even ask that?
However, Doah spewed out a lie as if she had expected my question.
「I was just taking a nap and resting.」
「Is that so? Napping is nice.」
「Do you napping too, Oppa?」
「Is there anyone who hates naps?」
No way people hated it. At least the people around me didn’t.
「I’m a really big sleeper, hehe.」
She was probably lying on her bed as I could hear the rustling sound of her comforter.
「Are you lying down right now?」
「Yeah. What about you?」
「I’m lying down too.」
This was better than I thought.
Our conversation flowed so well that my worries from earlier were erased.
「After this call, I’m going to watch Netflix then sleep.」
「Oh, what are you going to watch?」
「Uh… Do you know Demon Slayer, Oppa?」
「I do.」
Well, I actually knew it so damn well. But, I couldn’t just show that, could I?
Demon Slayer.
It was a mainstream anime, so not only otakus enjoyed it.
「I haven’t finished watching that one.」
「Really? Do you have a favorite character from that series?」
I just asked that question casually.
Like, I really did. No hidden nor evil intention was involved.
「I think Giyu’s the coolest char.」
If she had said literally any other character, I probably wouldn’t argue with her, but…
Fuck, I can’t hold back.
「He’s so annoying though.」
