Ending: Spring (Bom) Once Again.
It was immediately after he successfully crushed the pillars of the banquet hall.
‘He’ tried to crawl out of [Primal Time].
Because his goal was to block the entrance to the Non-Providental World, Yu Jitae used every bit of strength he had left to fly towards ‘him’ like a cannonball.
Due to that, ‘he’ who had been crawling out of the veil was sucked back into the Non-Providental World and the same had happened to Yu Jitae who was pushing ‘him’ inside.
The weapon of a building, [Palace] successfully crushed the small room that served as the entrance to the Non-Providential World and completely sealed it.
Because of that, Yu Jitae was pushed out of the Providential World.
It was the first time he was coming to the Non-Providential World. This place was a dark and cold place. Since it probably wasn’t cold in the physical sense of the word, it was most probably a chill he was feeling due to his soul being shattered apart.
However, the size of his soul that was built up throughout his life was too big, and he did not disappear with ease despite being crushed and shattered.
It simply felt cold.
The severe chilliness made him shrink his body.
Because he had fully executed his mission, [Vintage Clock] did not look for him, and [Key] had no more business with him either. Besides, they were transcendent authorities that could only involve themselves in Providential matters.
That was why there would be no-one who could bring him out of this cold place. He could only shiver here for almost an eternity.
The only thing he could do here was search through his past memories. Like a brain in a vat, he could do nothing but think.
Is this happiness? Am I happy?
He blamed his old friend a little.
Wasn’t I definitely going to be happy?
Isn’t that what you told me…
Time flew by. Although he was used to waiting, waiting without any objective felt way too long for him.
.
.
.
It was cold.
Like an eternal winter.
.
.
.
His blunt senses could not identify anything around him, but that was when some force stretched out like a hand and reached him.
He widened his eyes into circles. That ‘power’ melted his frozen body and woke up his sinking mind. Despite his soul being half-crushed, it was still alive and Yu Jitae was therefore able to wake up.
It felt like it had been a thousand years.
What’s happening?
The hand grabbed onto his body and started pulling him somewhere.
By the time he perceived what was happening, he lost consciousness.
.
.
.
When he opened his eyes again, there was a familiar street in front of his eyes.
His flustered gaze scanned across the world.
Roads covered in asphalt, buildings rising up above them and people carrying umbrellas in quick steps.
Black and white cars dashed across as sounds of horns reached his ears and perhaps due to a recent rainfall, the sky was coloured in a dull gray light.
Within the world filled with achromatic colours, he was the only one with colour.
He gasped for breath, for he just could not comprehend what was happening in front of him.
This was Nonhyung-dong, and it was 5 years ago. This time and space was the starting point of his wretched life which he had confronted thousands of times.
Did the 8th iteration begin or something?
Since his will had been worn out over the long period of time, his mind wasn’t back to normal despite returning to reality. Like a drunk person, he couldn’t judge things properly.
His phone rang in his confusion – it was a call related to his work.
Work?
Out of habit, he first decided to move like the last iteration.
7 am. It was time to go to work.
Wearing the police uniform, he went to work.
Despite being early in the morning, Gangnam was filled with people. It was them living their everyday life, and he recognised it as something familiar despite his hazy mind.
He travelled towards the Portal Bureau. By the time he reopened his eyes, an even more familiar sight welcomed him.
It was the Academy City of Lair.
The familiar scene of Haytling, and the familiar cadet uniforms. It was filled with things he was so familiar with, that he couldn’t imagine any other place that he was more used to.
“Jitae-sunbae, hello!”
“Jitae’s here as well? We had way too much drink last night yeah.”
But seeing his colleagues welcoming him after commuting to work, Yu Jitae felt strange.
“Huh? Don’t you think Jitae-sunbae looks a bit different now?”
“Wait what? Was he always that tall?”
It was strange that his colleagues were one by one walking up to him. There were people he was used to that should be walking up to him for a chat, but these weren’t them.
Also, there was a place he was used to which was shared by all of them, and this wasn’t that place either.
“Huh? Jitae-sunbae! Where are you going!”
Yu Jitae turned his body and left the police station.
Although his mind had yet to return properly, he hurried his feet. He couldn’t move his body properly so he had to rely on public transport.
Walking all the way, there were many things he felt familiar with, as well as things that felt foreign to him. Everything was the same as before, and yet he was considering them either familiar or foreign.
What surfaced before anything else among his hazy emotions was that sense of familiarity and a habit. As always, his habit of thinking of the worst possible scenario reared its head.
There were things that still remained in a corner of his memories and emotions. In fact, there were a lot of them – so much that he couldn’t count them all.
It must be because all of those connections had snapped into nothing, that he was standing here.
This felt as if the 8th iteration had begun.
It was similar to his familiar experiences, of how everything that had been precious to him forgot about him, and went further away while leaving him behind.
Continuing that line of thought made his heart crumble from the core.
He had to confirm it with his own eyes.
That was why he headed to Firenze, Italy – to the road filled with buildings that seemed to be from the Renaissance period. He had been here often and thanks to his sharp discerning ability, he knew those performing street musicians were very familiar.
If all the time that went by wasn’t fake, then the one he was the most used to definitely had to be here.
However, he couldn’t find her.
The conspicuous olive-coloured hair, the face that exceeded the threshold of beauty and appeared repulsively beautiful, and the existence that naturally gathered attention wherever she went–
He could not see her.
No – it wasn’t olive.
Although it was slightly foreign to him, it was definitely black.
After changing his mind, he once again scanned across the streets but like before, he could not find such a person.
He stood still. Although it was too early to admit it, he felt his heart slowly crumbling down from its core. Because it was the first encounter which he had been so used to, he realised that the invalidity of that meant the disappearance of something that was the most familiar to him.
But after blankly standing there for a while and slowly coming back to his senses, he found it strange again.
The reason he was used to this first encounter, was because the opponent forgot about him. Now, that sense of familiarity was gone, and that meant…
Tap tap.
Someone tapped him on his shoulder. He felt goosebumps immediately rising all over his body.
Slowly, he turned around.
And found a black-haired girl staring at him.
His gaze wavered.
It was such a familiar face; a familiar pair of eyes and a smile.
He smiled back.
He wasn’t intending on doing so, but a smile naturally appeared on his lips. It was because he got the verification that all the time he had spent was not fake.
“Hi.”
He greeted her with a dry voice.
“Hello.”
For some reason, the voice that came back from her sounded as exhausted as his own. Even though there was a smile on her lips, there were beads of tears beneath her eyes.
It was as if she was seeing him after a very long time.
He wanted to ask what was going on, but she suddenly lowered her head a little and gazed up at him with uplifted eyes.
She was trying to pull a prank.
“Why did you come looking for me?”
Ah, this scene.
Feeling like he could remember this, Yu Jitae recalled the words he said to her.
“Because I have a business.”
“So you came here knowing who I am?”
Damn it – he wanted to stop this immediately.
Therefore, he asked her.
“Who are you.”
A smile bloomed on her face like a flower. She cried and smiled. After being unable to control her own expression for a little while,
At last to her lover whom she finally met again in a world without any scars, she whispered.
“I’m your Bom…”
Kidnapped Dragons
The End
Thank you
Is this an 8th iteration? But what happens to the rest of the Dragons? Are they all reset? Won’t the black dragons be coming for her either way? I can see Bom, Yeorum and Gyeoul staying after their Amusement, but won’t Kaeul still have to go back?
Nevertheless, I guess it’s a happy ending. The ending feels like it has lots of loose ends though.
Thank you for translating this beautiful novel.
I been visiting this web since april 2021 to read this novel, now this is ended i just wanna say thank you rain-san
Thank you.
Thank you Rain, this has been an amazing ride.
I started reading when only 50 chapters had been translated, it’s been a long ride. Thank you for your work Rain.
Thanks! Waiting for side story chapters.
return to 301 is missing :c
Same! What a long journey it has been. 😢
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you for so much.
Rain, thank you so much for your incredible hard work! I was amazed to look back and realize you started translating this project back in October 2020. You did this work justice in a wonderful way, it’s so dialogue heavy but I really felt like you conveyed the drama, nuance, and feelings through the translation to such an extent that sometimes I forgot it was a translation and something written in English! Thank you again, I’m hoping you do the side stories too, and I’m looking forward to whatever your next project is after you take a well deserved break!
I have been reading since chapter 2 and I have to say, this feels like saying goodbye to an old friend. Thank you Rain. This has been one wild ride and it wouldnt have been possible if not for you. Thank you.
You’re a legend mate, wasn’t expecting to be able to read the last 21 chapters today.
A very enjoyable read and excellent translations. Thank you.
Thanks for your work Rain, this novel literally saw me through uni and man I’m gonna miss finding new chapters.

Thank you for translating
Aiya, author really put a lot of tears into the final torrential release of their work… thank you for following their example, the impact just wouldn’t have been the same otherwise.
The story may have been a bit weird sometimes, with headscratching moments and threads that went nowhere, but ultimately it was a very enjoyable journey and destination.
Thanks for the Amusement.
Maybe side-stories will clarify this, but it doesn’t feel like a happy ending: this is just another regression iteration, but this time Yu Jitae has lost most of his overwhelming power (heh, and just as I said he would the first time this “Conceptualization” power was introduced) and he can’t brute-force all the problems anymore. And it also kinda invalidates all the epilogues: because of the regression, Yeorum sister is alive, Gyeoul’s gift did not happen nor did happen Kaeul gnome guardianship. Heck, the only one who got the better side of the deal is Bom (since she only cared for romance), but even for her there is still “Grand Schema” left to fulfill, since all black dragons are still alive and well.
Thankfully, you’re incorrect.
The wish was to ‘return’, Bom, Yeorum, Gyeoul and Kaeul have their 1000 years of memories after the 1st amusement.
While yes, it does suck that Yeorum’s shit sister is alive again, Well, that’s an easy problem to rectify.
Exactly what I said: they only have memories, but all the events in the epilogues were “roll-backed” (so no passing on the “gift”, which I thought was a really nice episode).
Now that I think about it, most of the event of the story were roll-backed as well, for example BM will be miserable again, the demons in Academy will be present again, same with that god that Yu Jitae had to grind all the killing intent for (and even if hatching physical might was kept, they will still be much inferior than Yu Jitae and would not be able to kill it).
I dunno, this ending falls to close to “it was all a dream” territory for my liking.
I’ll hold my final review till all the side-stories are published though. Maybe author does have something in mind for all these.
I think the whole epilogue was more of the affect that Yu Jitae embedded to the kids. The whole journey and development to the kids was shown in the epilogue, as well as the emptiness without him. Even though everything was reverted, the memories that they learn through the thousands years without him stays with them so I don’t think it was a complete waste. And besides, on the topic of the gift/guardian being reverted, they will remember it since dragons don’t forget and do it again in the future. Overall this was a pretty nice way of showing that YJ had a heavy influence to the kids even after a thousands years and they all yearn to return to the good times even though it was only a fraction of their life in comparison. Thanks for the TS RainTL, this was a beautiful novel and I’m glad you shared it with us.
Agreed. It was well executed enough but conceptually I don’t like much. I feel like the cliche happy ending where Bom was never the Hostility or a sad(but hopeful) ending where YJ dies for good and they carry their will forwards would be better tbh. This felt too in-between and like you said undoes a lot of the story.
Regardless, despite my problems with this ending this was definitely still a 10/10 novel.
There’s no more great hostility, so there wont be any of the bad things going on that happened in the 7th iteration.
The “children” are have all of there knowledge so they wont accidentally or purposefully die, triggering the apocalypse.
We have to take into account that not every world is affected by Yu Jitae’s regressions, so perhaps most of that, such as passing on the gift, actually did happen. That said, I doubt that the story will address it even in the after stories.
The passing gift isn’t gone, she will just repeat the same steps in the future. “The gift will continue to be shared,” the author wrote. “Into the distant future, to children Gyeoul did not know of.” Nothing claims Gyeoul will forget about that person, and why should she?
BM being miserable will also be fixed by MC, like before, why wouldn’t it? They will just repeat the same steps while having fun. Mc don’t care if BM remembers him, or any other being. He only cares about dragons and his relationship with them.
You are saying nothing has changed, like it was a dream. This couldn’t be more wrong. 1- Now that the true enemy is gone, dragons will not die and demons will not thrive; thus, MC already saved the world at the end of the story. 2- saving the world wasn’t the real goal of MC; it was death. And he changed his goal. That leads to point 3. You said it was like a dream, but the MC changed throughout the story. A man found something worth living for, and faced his sins. In my opinion, character growth and change are vastly superior to materialistic goals such as saving the world.
This novel wasn’t about saving the world or helping side characters, it was about a lost soul facing his guilt(dragons) and his redemption.
This is too open ended to be satisfying… I hope those side stories flesh things out.
It doesn’t really matter though since he’s out of the loop and he’s happy the only things he wanted
My main issue is that it was never addressed if he is immortal because if he is just a dude now it’s great they get to hang out and all but he is dead in the dragon equivalent of like a month also if this is a time regression AGAIN does that mean he has to deal with demons again or evil humans or any number of annoying problems
No all of them kinda happened. This time all the hatchlings regressed together. In fact I was actually expecting a reunion with all the dragons in unit 301 instead of just bom but i guess author wanted to go a more romatic ending rather than familial? Anyway yeah so now that they regressed Kaeul is already a full fledged guardian, Yeorum is already strong enough to kill her bitch of a sister and Gyeoul is just waiting to hatch and meet her dad again. Of course I think she will still be kind in her second amusement in fact she might even leave at the same time for her amuse and do the same actions since dragons have perfect memory.
Interesting point about Yu Jitae becoming weaker. But even if he burned the killing intent and downgraded his shapeless sword, that’s all he lost. He still has thousands of other authorities. He simply cannot use the shapeless sword to bulldoze everything now.
Thank you
Thank you RainTL, it have been a long ride and I appreciate every moment of it
Tysm for the author and the translator for this bittersweet novel
I’ve been reading this since Chapter 20, when I first saw you translate this. Every step of the way I’d be checking daily for a new upload. This is the first time I’ve commented, and I know it’s not the same as leaving a comment each time but I was one of those here every step of the way, and this has been an incredible journey. THANK YOU SO MUCH for translating this, and I am so excited to read some of the after story.
Thank you
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your work. I really appreciate you from my heart.
What a journey that was! Tysm!
Yay happy end.
The dragons return.
Except, we still got a problem don’t we? It’s downright cruel for Bom’s family to torment her. I hope the afterword stories have a resolution for that.
Hopefully the first afterstory explains the situation better. Jitae threw away so many authorities and Shapeless Sword, which was pretty much his signature skill + his soul is apparently half-crushed, so even if Bom reversed time, won’t he just be a weakling and die in 50 or so years? Won’t the hatchlings’ Amusement end in 15 years and separate them again?
Thank you
Owo that was neat.. damn it’s really sad when a thing comes to an end..
Thx for the Final Chapter~!
(✧ω✧)

Thank you for this amazing trip!!!
Thank you for your work and the novel!~✨️
Holy shit. It’s over. It’s done.
A series I had been following for nearly 3 years- over.
It’s fucking over. Oh my God. It’s over…!
3 years ago, I discovered your website through Novelupdates. There, sat the link to this place along with a series with only 98 chapters posted at the time. It’s title read: “Kidnapped Dragons.”
‘Ooh, this seems very interesting!’ I thought to myself before clicking the link to the very first chapter and acquainted myself with our MC, Yu Jitae.
‘Yu Jitae? That’s very similar to Yu Ilhan from “Everyone Else is a Returnee”. I can already tell this is going to be great!’
With that thought in mind, I immersed myself into a parallel world. A world about the struggles, feelings, and a wish of a man who just wanted to be happy.
He got his wish, and so, my job is completed. His Legend has been told. I, the listener, and RainingTL, the speaker.
…
Thank you, RainingTL.

Thank you for your work.
I was reading novel since 3 years ago, when there were only 91 chapters….. man completely fall in love this novel……but all goods things come to one day…… 🙁 im not satisfied with the ending though … i really wanted a touching reunion between geyoul and Yu Jitae….. I hope they show us side stories tooo,,
Whew, what a ride it’s been… I mean, I know I jumped on quite a bit later, but still, ahaha. Thanks for the translations!
Thank you so much for translation.
Started reading ~2 yrs ago, what a journey it has been.
About the ending, I am still confused. Is this just another iteration then? But the authority left him alone cos he accomplished his mission, right?
So this just means that he is just a normal human now without his regression ‘power’. Just that everyone has all the previous memories. But then why did Bom say she would complete her mother’s mission in the next iteration? There wouldn’t be any more intererations though. This is the only path remaining.
Maybe she just means she would do it after she retuns from her amusement.
This honestly doesn’t really feel like a true happy ending or even a bitter sweet one.
It’s like one of those ‘time reset’ ones where everything that happened before has barely any consequences.
Like Yu Jitae will die in like ~70 or so years which is nothing for the dragons. So I guess this is just for making happy memories.
I love this novel so much
I love you for translating this novel for us

I’ve been reading this novel since nearly the beggining of your translation. It’s been a long, enjoyable ride even though those last chapters did hit really hard. Words can’t really convey how thankful I am but : Thank you so much Rain, for being the one translating this novel, you did a wonderful job.

Nvm I saw the note
Now, i need to fill the void that the end of this novel brought to me. Recommendations, anyone?
And thank you so much, Rain. I fuvcking luv for translating this novel.
i’m watching nichijou & lucky star to cure depression
Thanks very much lord Translator, and also author. This novel was one of my greatest reads yet. Not even the trauma team can heal these feels.
And Bom saying “I’m your Bomb” is a terrible pun from the author, basically telling that Spring bloomed for Yu Jitae. lmao.
this is the end huh…I feel empty now, I kinda want to see them all together again
Thank you so much for the full translation of the novel. Like others have said, it’s been a hell of a ride. And it definitely seems like Yu Jitae is finally happy now. It’s like saying goodbye to a good friend. I feel happy for him and the dragons! May they enjoy their happiness together in their universe.
Thank you
Thank you for the translations Rain.

Thank you Rain, for translating this novel for 2 years straight. It was an amazing ride.
Thanks for translating, but man this ending was f tier trash, gotta say.
Thanks for the novel
I’ve been following this since you started translating it like chap 5-6 and binging time to time. It’s definitely a rollercoaster novel. One I hardly expected to read for so long.
Well that ends stuff but I really hope they all remember the future too and hare their achievements with him as well as create better stuff later on.
Thank you, Rain!
This was a great read! Thank you for your hard work and translations!
Good Read. Thank you Author and Rain. Thank you so much for making this work possible.
I hate time travel plots, but I ended up loving this novel.
Thank you so much for translating this masterpiece!
STEINS GATE VIBES
There was some small issues with the ending especially involving the time travel stuff that I feel weren’t explained enough, but solid ending.
Thank you very much for translating this exciting novel! I´ve started this novel with no real expectations, but I do not regret reading this novel in the slightest. I was able to sympathize with our dear characters, immerse myself in to this world and view the characters development with joy. This story is truly marvelous. Your translation, Rain, is something I appreciate. It made this ride really enjoyable!
A better ending for Kidnapped Dragons
Firstly let me say, I enjoyed the ending and the story in general pretty much, but I also have an idea to make ending better.
So, the problem I currently have with current ending, is that basically both Yu Jitae and Bom did not confront their sins, and instead Yu Jitae is given an option to undo killing Bom’s mom.
Now, I understand (or at least think I understand) why the ending is how it is. How in the world would Bom forgive him in a way that is not disingenuous? Because to me all options that immediately come to mind, like forgiving because they were happy, or because of love, do seem very disingenuous, so an option of undoing Yu Jitae’s wrongs isn’t actually that bad in comparison.
But actually, I do have an idea of a happy ending. And it is basically Bom becoming enlightened Buddha(btw I am not actually Buddhist, and this idea came to me from reading manga Houseki no Kuni, that is supposed to be some kind of allegory on Buddhism(which is also actually, in my opinion, the best manga/anime/any type of story that I’ve ever read/watched/listened to)
So basically, Bom somehow survives her suicide attempt, and the novel is given another 1-2 arcs of Bom’s journey to enlightment.
I think such ending would have all benefits of real ending, in that it is happy and pretty satisfying, while also it would include Yu Jitae and Bom fully confronting theirs and each other’s sins, while not being disingenuous
I’ve really enjoyed reading Kidnapped Dragons and I would rate it as 84-85, but I think aforementioned ending could have elevated it by 3-4 points
English is not my native language so please forgive possible mistakes
The most beautiful novel I’ve ever read, thank you for your translations
What an amazing ride, the ending made me tear up.
