Everyone has had this phase at some point in their childhood.
Admiring someone so much that you wanted to follow in their footsteps.
In Ha-eun’s case, her subject for admiration was a fairytale dragon.
No, let me rephrase it.
Her subject wasn’t just any old dragon.
There was a certain dragon that Ha-eun admired and wanted to emulate.
In fact, Ha-eun still reads that fairytale aloud every day.

She met a person that she could only describe as her heaven-sent rival.

She didn’t forget to say something dignified to make herself look like a dragon.

After saying that to the lady, she looked at the magic orb,

If she defeated that dragon, wouldn’t this show how strong Ha-eun actually was?
Also, if she somehow defeated him, wouldn’t that man start admiring her?
She would defeat him, even if it meant using villainous means that befitted her name of Dark Flame Dragon.
“So? What are we going to bet on?”
As she was thinking this,
Si-woo asked her to choose what their wager would be.
She, of course, thought that a duel would be best,
But she was also aware that she couldn’t fight him here and now.
That was why she chose…
“W-We will flip a coin…! If it lands on tails, I win, if it lands on heads, you win…!”
It was as simple as it gets, a coin toss.
She suggested that they choose a victor by flipping a coin.

She planned to use this skill to defeat the man in front of her, Si-woo.
Since the word “Dark” was part of her name, she had to act like a villain.
